The bridge between beer & wine is a rewarding yet rugged path less travelled in recent history. As well as making craft beer we operate a small working vineyard at our HQ. With the Hunter Valley wine region only 1.5 hours to the west our location is destined for a beer and wine melting pot.
Whilst borrowing the words ‘Le Pont’ from the French language, translating to ‘the bridge’, the brewers at Murray’s are aspiring to shape a bridge between brewing & winemaking. With the help of beautiful Roussanne grapes sourced from a single vineyard in the Hunter region, we’re now overly excited to showcase the bridge we have been shaping.
Embodied in an ancestry of beer, her light and dry body carries itself toward a more familiar white wine complexion. Presenting firstly woody and vanilla notes on the nose, soft aromas of green apple and gooseberry continue to envelop the nose. After introducing her to your palate, green apple and tart grape zest reign in abundance whilst being delicately guided by its brief affair with French oak. Leaving us with an attractive woody vanilla after-taste on the tongue, Le Pont Blanc’s aura is not easily forgotten.
