Description:
The bridge between beer & wine is a rewarding yet rugged path less travelled in recent history. As well as making craft beer we operate a small working vineyard at our HQ. With the Hunter Valley wine region only 1.5 hours to the west our location is destined for a beer and wine melting pot.
Whilst borrowing the words ‘Le Pont’ from the french language, translating to ‘the bridge’, the brewers at Murray’s are aspiring to shape a bridge between brewing & winemaking. With the help of beautiful Shiraz grapes sourced from a single vineyard in the Hunter region, we’re now overly excited to showcase the bridge we have been shaping.
Embodied in an ancestry of beer, her light and dry body carries itself toward a more familiar Shiraz like complexion. Presenting firstly spicy and earthy notes on the nose, soft aromas of blueberry jam and plum continue to envelop the nose. After introducing her to your palate, raspberries and blueberries reign in abundance whilst being delicately guided by subdued barnyard characteristics. Leaving us with an attractive rosé like aftertaste on the tongue, Le Pont Rouge’s aura is not easily forgotten.
